The Seneca County Sheriff’s Office reports the arrest of a 37-year-old Geneva resident following an investigation into a June burglary.
Francis Cermak, 37, was charged with second-degree burglary, a felony; and petit larceny.
The charges stem from an incident that occurred on 06-20-20 where a female victim arrived home at her residence in the Town of Junius to find an unknown male inside rummaging through her belongings.
Deputies say the homeowner confronted the suspect, which resulted in him fleeing the scene. An investigation was launched and Cermak was identified as the suspect.
He was arrested and transported to the Seneca County Correctional Facility pending arraignment.
