Let the visitation resume.
While nursing homes remain barred from having visitors – group homes and hospitals were given clearance by the governor to host visitors under certain conditions.
Governor Andrew Cuomo said the infection rate from the coronavirus has held steady, and with new numbers continuing to stay low – visitation in these settings is possible.
“Our data is good,” Cuomo said. “Our rate of transmission is the lowest, having been the highest.”
Cuomo continued to urge people to adhere to social distancing rules and wear masks in public. The region entered ‘Phase 3’ last week as infections continue to lower.
“There is a big variance between what is theoretically possible and what can actually happen in reality,” Cuomo said, speaking to the prospect of shopping malls, or some denser spaces reopening.
