There will not be a presidential primary in New York State.
The State’s Board of Elections voted Monday to kill the primary, which had been scheduled to occur on June 23rd.
It was originally set for late-April, but due to the Novel Coronavirus it was delayed.
Some voters said they would vote for Bernie Sanders even though he suspended his campaign and endorsed Joe Biden.
A special election for a congressional seat in the 27th district will still take place on June 23rd, along with all state level primaries.
Last week it was confirmed that everyone would have the opportunity to vote by mail in June’s election.
