Officials in Cayuga County say they have their first confirmed death amid the COVID-19 pandemic.

They made the announcement in a live-stream, which was held on Wednesday at 5:30 p.m.

Legislature Chair Aileen McNabb-Coleman urged residents to stay “in their area” during the presser, and said that only truly-essential trips should be taken into public spaces.
