A slate of Republican candidates received enthusiastic endorsements Thursday during a summer gathering hosted by the Ontario County Women’s Republican Club.
Held at the home of Club President Trisha Turner on July 31, the Summer Strawberry Social drew members, candidates, and supporters for a festive show of unity ahead of the fall election.
The club officially backed several judicial and local candidates, including:
- Judge Kristina “Kitty” Karle and Attorney Joseph DiNolfo for New York State Supreme Court, Seventh Judicial District
- Attorney Jason MacBride for Ontario County District AttorneyÂ
- Attorney Stefanie Barnes for Ontario County Court
- Attorney Meg Reston for Canandaigua City Court Judge

In a notable show of female leadership, the group endorsed five women running for Town Supervisor positions across the county:
- Laura Abplanalp (Town of Bristol)
- Meghan Fuller (Town of South Bristol)
- Kris Singer (Town of Canadice)
- Roslyn Grammar (Town of Seneca)
- Ruth Smith (Town of West Bloomfield)
“These candidates represent the best of Republican leadership—committed, principled, and prepared to serve their communities with integrity,” said Turner, who also hosted the event.
The club extended its thanks to attendees who helped support what it called a celebration of Republican women and candidates throughout Ontario County.
Early voting runs from October 25 through November 2. The General Election takes place Tuesday, November 4.
