Deputies: Felony drug arrests made after traffic stop in Waterloo

The Seneca County Sheriff’s Office reports that members of the Narcotics Unit arrested a 34-year-old Geneva resident, as well as a 39-year-old Auburn resident on drug charges following a traffic stop in Waterloo.

Sarah M. Kline, 34, and Shawn P Mahoney, 39, were charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance, a felony, and criminally using drug paraphernalia in the second-degree.

Additionally, Mahoney was charged with Aggravated Operation of a Motor Vehicle in the second degree and Operating without an Interlock Device.

Approximately one ounce of crack cocaine was discovered after the vehicle they were operating was stopped on State Routes 5&20.

Investigators also seized US Currency, digital scales, and packaging material.

Kline and Mahoney were both released on appearance tickets and are scheduled to appear at CAP at a later date.

Investigators were assisted by K9 “Coski” and members of the Geneva Police Department and Wayne County Sheriff’s Office.
