Oprah Magazine has named Skaneateles as the #1 most-underrated place to visit.
The magazine spotlighted a total of 60 towns and villages, which it described as unheard-of communities across the U.S.
“This picturesque village is located right on the edge of Skaneateles Lake in Upstate New York. With beautiful and serene surroundings, you can spend the days of summer relaxing in a kayak or hiking the trails. Plus, there are premium shopping outlets not far from town,” the magazine said, describing Skaneateles.
Corning was also ranked on the list.
