Jury selection is slated to start in July for the man accused of murdering his mother at her home in Branchport two summers ago.
Paul Khouzam, of Branchport is accused of breaking into his mother’s home — and killing her. He also killed the 67-year-old’s dog.
He was taken into custody walking down Arrowhead Beach Road. While Dr. Magda Daoud, the victim, died months later from her wounds – Khouzam was charged with second-degree murder, aggravated cruelty to animals, and criminal possession of a weapon. He was also charged with burglary.
The Chronicle-Express says that jury selection was slated to start in May, but moved to July 16th in Yates County Court.
He’s being held without bail for violating his probation.
