There was a full slate of Wayne-Finger Lakes boys and girls basketball games on Friday night.
The most interesting and surprising game of the night featured the Penfield Patriots and the Wayne Eagles. With 1 minute and 19 seconds left in the game, the Patriot’s trailed by 15 points. However, they fought their way back to cut Wayne’s lead to just two. With just over 6 seconds remaining in the fourth quarter, Penfield had the ball. Dyllan Scott passed it over to his teammate RJ Wilkins who drained a deep three-pointer at the buzzer to hand Wayne their first loss of the season. Check out the video below to see the game-winner.
Wow! Wow! Wow! @PenfieldBball’s @rj_wilkins completes the comeback with a deep 3 to win the game 60-59 over undefeated @WCSD_Athletics . @PenfieldBball was down 15 with 1:19 left in the game. @PickinSplinters @PenfieldCSD @PHSBIRDHOUSE18 #heart #grit #comebackwin #buzzerbeater pic.twitter.com/oBsyoIsVkw
