W-FL FRIDAY: Wilkins drains three-pointer at buzzer to lift Penfield over Wayne; Lyons suffers first loss of season against Northstar-Christian

There was a full slate of Wayne-Finger Lakes boys and girls basketball games on Friday night.

The most interesting and surprising game of the night featured the Penfield Patriots and the Wayne Eagles. With 1 minute and 19 seconds left in the game, the Patriot’s trailed by 15 points. However, they fought their way back to cut Wayne’s lead to just two. With just over 6 seconds remaining in the fourth quarter, Penfield had the ball. Dyllan Scott passed it over to his teammate RJ Wilkins who drained a deep three-pointer at the buzzer to hand Wayne their first loss of the season. Check out the video below to see the game-winner.

Also, the Lyons Lions suffered their first loss of the season after falling to the Northstar Christian Knights. Ryan Garwood scored a game-high 24 points to lead the Knights. You can watch a replay of the game below on FL1 Sports.
