Police say that after performing a welfare check at a home in Seneca Falls – two people were arrested for unlawfully dealing with children.
Robin Cooper, 54, and Angelina Evans, 28, both of Seneca Falls were arrested after police arrived on-scene for a welfare check of one of the individuals.
While there they discovered an odor of marijuana burning, the smell of marijuana in general, and marijuana paraphernalia in the apartment along with two kids.
Police say the marijuana was being consumed in the presence of the two kids; and that they were exposed to second-hand smoke as result.
Cooper and Evans were charged with two counts of unlawfully dealing with a child. They were processed and released on appearance tickets.
Seneca County Child Protective Services opened an investigation as result of the arrest.
