The Bloomfield Bombers and the Honeoye Bulldogs renewed their rivalry to open Finger Lakes West play on Tuesday night. This game was delayed shortly after the opening tip because of a fire alarm. When they finally got going, it was a tight back-and-forth game until Honeoye took a 7-point lead with three minutes remaining.. Sheehan and Willix scored for Bloomfield to cut the Bulldogs lead to just three. However, with 39 seconds left, Bloomfield had a back-court violation and that pretty much sealed the deal.

Also, Marcus Whitman went on a late 3rd quarter run against the visiting Mynderse Blue Devils on the way to an 11 point win in the season opener for both teams.
On the girls side, Midlakes picked up their first win of the season after blowing out SOTA. Cara Walker and younger sister Callie Walker combined for 27 points and 27 rebounds to lead the way.

So early in Q1, we’re outside after the fire alarm goes off. Not sure what triggered it, but it’s a 4-3 lead for @HoneoyeSports over @goBCSbombers so the shooting wasn’t all that hot. pic.twitter.com/jVe8zBvMJz

I see the way a teenager like Hill loves to play for his school and with his friends and in front of the home fans … and I love it. Most kids should never give up that experience to go to a prep school https://t.co/0yna6ulTe1
