Deputies: Two hospitalized with non-life threatening injuries after crash in Ontario County

On Wednesday at approximately 11:22 p.m. first responders were called to the scene of a personal injury crash at the intersection of State Route 5 and County Road 20.

Investigators were able to determine that a vehicle operated by Charity Dubois, 40, of Canisteo was traveling south on County Road 20 and failed to stop at the stop sign.

Cierra Roberts, 25, of Willard was traveling east on State Route 5 and was struck by Dubois’ vehicle. Both drivers were wearing seatbelts and airbags deployed.

Deputies say Dubois was transported to Geneva General Hospital by Gorham Ambulance for treatment of non-life threatening injuries. Roberts was transported to Strong Memorial Hospital with what deputies described as non-life threatening injuries.

Dubois was issued traffic tickets for failing to yield the right of way at a stop sign; and will answer the charge in Seneca Town Court at a later date.

Deputies say drugs and alcohol were not factors in the crash. Finger Lakes Ambulance, Gorham-Stanley Fire Department and Seneca Castle Fire Department all responded to the scene.
