Canandaigua City Court Judge Muehe’s portrait will join courthouse gallery

Twenty years after his death, the late Canandaigua City Court Judge Robert Muehe still holds a place of honor in the hearts of many.

Soon, his likeness will take its place alongside Ontario County’s highest ranking judicial VIPs and historical dignitaries.

Members of the Ontario County Board of Supervisors have accepted private funding for a commissioned portrait in memory of Mr. Muehe, which is to be hung in the third-floor courtroom of the Ontario County Courthouse. The historic structure is home to the likenesses of Susan B. Anthony, Oliver Phelps, Nathanial Gorham, Judge Frederic T. Henry Sr. and Judge Frederic T. Henry Jr., among others.
