The Department of Environment Conservation announced Wednesday that the Harmful Algal Blooms (HABs) found in the north end of Skaneateles Lake is cleared.
Water samples that were taken by the DEC on Tuesday initially confirmed the presence of HABs.
According to Syracuse city leaders, there is no threat to drinking water.
If you see what you believe to be a HAB, the DEC is encouraging the public to report it through the NYHABs online reporting form available on the DEC’s website.
