A man from Marion was arrested Monday on charges stemming from a crash in April on the town of Walworth.
Wayne County Sheriff’s deputies said Luis Aponte, 30, was driving on April 27 around 11:10 p.m. when he collided with another car at the intersection of Rt. 441 and West Walworth Road.
While investigating, deputies determined Aponte was drunk and arrested him on DWI charges.
The two people in the car that was hit by Aponte suffered serious injuries in the crash, which led to Aponte being charged with second-degree vehicular assault, third-degree assault, fourth-degree criminal mischief, DWI, DWI with a BAC above .08 percent, and several traffic and driving citations.
