U.S. Marshals offer reward for arrest of fugitive sex offender

A $1,000 reward is being offered for information leading to the arrest of a fugitive sex offender.

William Ward, 40, is wanted by the New York State Department of Corrections for violating his parole and by the Cayuga County Sheriff’s Office for failing to register as a sex offender.

Authorities say he ties to the Genoa area, a town in Cayuga county.

Ward was released from prison in December of 2016 after serving part of a six-year sentence for raping a 14-year-old.

If you have any information call the U.S. Marshals at 1-800-336-0102 or the Onondaga County Tip Line (315) 473-7625.
