Power out, stretch of road closed in Newark after utility pole falls

A stretch of Union Street in Newark being closed after a utility pole came down Tuesday afternoon.

Newark Mayor Johnathan Taylor said a pole in a culvert gave way because there was too much water around it.

Power is out for some citizens on the south side of the village in the Union street corridor.

According to NYSEG, power is back in the area.
