One year since the loss of NYS Trooper Nicholas Clark

Tuesday marks the one year anniversary of the death of a New York State Trooper from the Southern Tier.

Trooper Nicholas Clark died in the line of duty on July 2nd, 2018 while responding to a scene in the town of Erwin. He was 29 years old.

The area is still dealing with the loss of a man well known and loved in his community of Canisteo. A two-time state wrestling champion in high school, Clark also went on to play football at Alfred University and was a two-time All American. He joined the state police in 2015.

Tuesday on WENY News at 5:30 and 6, we’ll hear from some of those who knew Clark best, and have more on his lasting legacy.
