First responders say four dogs died in a barn fire in the Town of Cato overnight.
Firefighters were called to a barn along Route 34 in Cato around 1 a.m. on Monday.
Officials say four dogs were killed in the fire. However, goats that were in the barn at the time made it out safely.
It appears as though a space heater could have started the blaze. However, an exact cause is not yet known.
Investigation into the fire continues.
