Wayne Central grad who had been missing for 50 days found dead in NYC

A missing Wayne Central graduate, who was living in Brooklyn, has been found dead, according to authorities.

James Johnston, 31, disappeared from his Brooklyn apartment in January.

However, after more than 50 days of searching – family of Johnston say they received a call from police in New York.

A body had been recovered, and investigators believed the body was that of Johnston.

He was last seen by his roommates on January 29th. They woke up the next morning, and James was gone.

For weeks the family searched, raising funds to hire a private investigator and pushing the cell phone companies to get access to his phone records.

Family says Johnston had been involved in a car accident earlier in the day, but then disappeared. His family was worried about a potential head injury.

The body was found on Thursday. The details surrounding the incident remain under investigation.
