Lawmakers are weighing in on the controversial proposal to make prostitution legal in New York.
State Assemblyman Dan Stec says he just doesn’t get.
“It’s just absolutely absurd to me,” he said.
Two Democratic senators from New York City proposed the idea in an opinion piece they co-authored for the Daily News, saying in part they “aim to repeal statutes that criminalize consensual sexual exchange between adults and create a system that erases prostitution records for sex workers…so they can move on with their lives…..”
Now other fellow lawmakers in Albany and upstate law enforcement groups are letting everyone know how they feel about this.
