Police say those involved in Auburn stabbing not cooperating with investigators

The Auburn Police Department is attempting to investigate the stepping, which was reported Saturday night around 7:30 p.m. near the Speedway in Auburn.
However, a lack of cooperation from some of those involved is hindering it, according to police.
They said on Sunday that they have identified the suspect and all of the others involved. Officers and ambulance crews responded to the Speedway convenience store at the corner of State and Seymour streets at about 7:20 p.m. for three possible stabbing victims, and an ambulance was dispatched to Barber Street for a fourth person with a hand cut.
None of the injuries were life-threatening.
Auburn police believe they know who the assailant was, but that person hasn’t been brought into custody because the others involved are not cooperating with the investigation.
Beyond that, police noted that some of those who were stabbed were brought into custody on unrelated charges.
Police say the case remains open, but was not a ‘random attack’. No additional information is being released at this time.
