Bishop answers Princeton's power-play opener

Princeton took the lead at 11:22 of the first period when Chloe Brinson scored on the power play, 49 seconds after Cornell's Piper Grober was penalized for holding. Mackenzie Alexander and Ellie Dimatos assisted on the goal.

Bishop tied the game at 16:10, scoring at even strength with assists from Nora Curtis and Rachel Bishop. The first-year forward's goal sent the teams into the first intermission even at 1-1, with Cornell holding a 12-8 edge in shots.

Neither team scored during the second or third period, leaving Bishop's goal as Cornell's only scoring play of the night.

Corniea withstands Cornell's pressure

Cornell outshot Princeton 16-4 in the second period and had three power-play opportunities in that frame. A fourth chance came in the third, but the Big Red finished 0-for-4 with the advantage.

Princeton converted one of its three power plays. Cornell killed the other two, including a third-period roughing penalty against Delaney Fleming, to keep the score tied heading into overtime.
