Beverly Gonsalves, 69, of Groton, died Oct. 6, 2026, according to her obituary from Shurtleff Funeral Home.
Born in Hyannis and raised in South Yarmouth, Massachusetts, she began working at Groton Nursing Home in 1989. The following year, she opened a private home-care business, welcoming residents into her own home.
Her family remembered her generosity, birthday cakes, holiday decorations and Christmas Eve gatherings. She enjoyed visiting relatives on Cape Cod, spending time at the beach, gardening and peaceful mornings with her dogs.
She is survived by her husband, Alan Barros; seven children; two sisters; grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and extended family. In keeping with her wishes, the family’s notice announced no funeral or memorial services.
