Seneca County Public Health is recruiting a speech language pathologist with an advertised starting salary of $79,119.
A department recruitment flyer lists pay of $40.57 an hour, and the county's official job posting says applications will be accepted until the position is filled.
The job involves evaluating and treating children with communication, speech and feeding delays or disorders. The pathologist works with families and other professionals to develop therapy plans, track progress and help children build communication skills.
The flyer lists paid vacation, 14 paid holidays, tuition reimbursement and health insurance among the benefits. It also identifies the county as a Public Service Loan Forgiveness employer.
Applicants must have a master's degree in speech therapy, state licensure and current registration as a speech-language pathologist, a Teacher of the Speech and Hearing-Impaired certificate and current professional-rescuer CPR or equivalent certification, according to the posting.
A New York driver's license is required at application and throughout employment. Experience providing speech therapy to children from birth through age 5 is preferred.
