Cornell's 21st-ranked men's soccer team will try to finish its Ivy League schedule unbeaten when it hosts Columbia for Senior Day at 3 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 7, at Berman Field.

The Big Red has already won the conference championship and enters the regular-season finale at 10-3-1 overall and 5-0-1 in league play, according to Cornell's preview. A win or draw would complete an unbeaten seven-match Ivy campaign before Cornell hosts the conference tournament next week.

Seniors close the regular season at home

Cornell will recognize five seniors: goalkeeper Isaac Delgado, midfielder Balazs Feher, defender and midfielder Liam May, midfielder Connor Miller and forward Adam Schaban.

The Big Red has won all five of its countable home matches this season, outscoring opponents 17-7. Cornell has scored at least three goals in each of its last four home victories, including Ivy wins over Harvard, Penn and Dartmouth.

A victory Saturday would lift Cornell to 11-3-1 overall and 6-0-1 in conference play while completing a 6-0 regular-season home record. Through six Ivy matches, the Big Red has outscored its opponents 16-7.

Cornell will remain at Berman Field for the Ivy League Tournament. The semifinals are scheduled for 3:30 and 7 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 12, with the championship match at 11 a.m. Sunday, Nov. 15.

Late equalizer keeps Cornell unbeaten in league play

The Big Red returns from a 1-1 draw at Yale on Oct. 31. Freshman Lennon Harrington converted an 85th-minute penalty kick less than four minutes after Yale had gone ahead on a penalty of its own.

Cornell is 3-0-1 over its last four matches, outscoring Princeton, Bucknell, Dartmouth and Yale by a combined 11-3. The Big Red has allowed no more than one goal in each of those games.

Columbia comes to Ithaca at 5-4-5 overall and 0-3-3 in the Ivy League after drawing 1-1 at Penn on Oct. 31. Senior midfielder Jack McDaid scored a first-half penalty before Penn equalized from the spot later in the half.

The Lions are still seeking their first conference victory but have taken points from Brown, Princeton and Penn with draws.

Big Red can even the all-time series

Columbia leads the series 28-27-10, but Cornell is unbeaten in the last seven meetings, going 5-0-2 since 2018 and outscoring the Lions 15-4. The Big Red has won the last two matchups.
