A Mount Morris man has been indicted on felony charges stemming from a September incident in which he allegedly injured another person with a vehicle and fled from a law enforcement officer.
Livingston County District Attorney Ashley Williams announced the Oct. 14 indictment in a release Wednesday.
Carlos Diaz-Silva, 43, faces first-degree reckless endangerment, second-degree assault, leaving the scene of an incident without reporting and third-degree unlawfully fleeing a police officer.
Prosecutors allege Diaz-Silva recklessly caused serious physical injury to another person with a motor vehicle Sept. 5 in the town of Mount Morris.
The indictment also alleges he intentionally evaded an officer by driving away from the incident that caused the injury.
The reckless endangerment and assault counts are Class D felonies, the leaving-the-scene count is a Class E felony and the fleeing count is a Class A misdemeanor.
Diaz-Silva appeared before Judge Kevin Van Allen on Oct. 27.
