Two Geneva residents face larceny charges after deputies said they concealed merchandise and left a Walmart checkout area without paying.
The Ontario County Sheriff's Office investigated the incident at the store at 990 Routes 5 and 20 in the town of Geneva and made the arrests at 1:42 p.m. Oct. 30, according to a news release.
Deputies said Jahmya Spann and Zameika Porter went to separate parts of the store, concealed items on their persons and passed all points of sale without paying or declaring the merchandise.
Spann, who deputies said had previously been banned from all Walmart locations, was charged with third-degree burglary, a class D felony, and petit larceny, a class A misdemeanor.
She was taken to the Ontario County Jail to await arraignment.
Porter was charged with petit larceny and released on an appearance ticket for Geneva Town Court at a later date.
