A town of Geneva resident was charged with second-degree criminal contempt after deputies said he contacted someone protected by a stay-away order.
The Ontario County Sheriff's Office investigated an incident reported Nov. 2 at Sunlight Lane Apartments in the town of Geneva, according to a news release.
Deputies said Ijahaveck Robinson, 29, violated an order issued Oct. 26 by Ontario County Family Court Judge Reed.
Robinson was taken into custody at about 5:12 p.m. with help from Geneva police and transported without incident to the Ontario County Jail for centralized arraignment.
He was released on his own recognizance to answer the charge at a later date.
