A Geneva woman pleaded not guilty Monday to kidnapping and conspiracy charges tied to the investigation into Sam Nordquist's death, according to the Ontario County District Attorney's Office.
She remained held without bail after her arraignment in Ontario County Court.
Shirley L. Morales, 56, appeared before Judge Kristina Karle on Nov. 2 following a grand jury indictment charging first-degree kidnapping, second-degree kidnapping and second-degree conspiracy.
Attorney John Gilsenan represented Morales at the arraignment.
Karle continued Morales' existing no-bail status, the district attorney's office said.
The next court appearance is a virtual conference for attorneys only on Nov. 18.
New York State Police handled the arrest and investigation.
Chief Assistant District Attorney Sara Van Strydonck and Senior Assistant District Attorney Robin Catalano are prosecuting the case.
The charges are allegations, and Morales is presumed innocent unless proven guilty.
