Two Yates County dispatchers complete emergency communications training

Two Yates County emergency services dispatchers completed an intensive two-week E911 emergency communications course, the sheriff's office announced after an Oct. 30 graduation.

Jonathan Granger and Adelyn Emerson trained alongside participants from neighboring agencies.

The course covered emergency calls, radio transmissions and dispatching during critical incidents, according to the Yates County Sheriff's Office.

The sheriff's office shared a graduation photograph showing Chief Dispatcher Jason Bassett and Undersheriff Brandon Jensen with Granger and Emerson, who were holding their certificates of completion.

The training addressed the communications work dispatchers perform as they receive calls for help and relay information to responding personnel.
