Meal funding and job changes

The health committee will review accepting $4,237 for home-delivered meals under the Senior Wellness in Nutrition Fund, plus the Office for the Aging's 2027 contracts.

Social Services will provide SNAP, heating-assistance and unemployment-benefit updates and discuss Adoption Day.

Community Services seeks state mental-health and addiction-funding inflationary increases, reallocations and budget adjustments; assisted outpatient treatment, children's single point of access and reinvestment funding; a peer/wellness agreement with Emergency Services; and 2027 contracts.

Two vacant jobs are proposed for reclassification:

  • A Public Health Nurse position would become Registered Professional Nurse, retaining CSEA Grade O and the $61,669-$91,223 salary range.
  • Social Services' Typist, Grade C at $34,340-$50,797, would become Community Services Worker, Grade B at $33,871-$48,377.

Maintenance contracts and Agricultural District 3

The planning committee will consider extending maintenance contracts with Eastern Security, Davis-Ulmer Sprinkler, Southern Tier Fire Extinguisher, John W. Danforth, Casella Waste Management, Schindler Elevator and Integrated Power Supplies.

Planning also seeks modification and adoption of Agricultural District 3 following its eight-year review. The Steuben County Industrial Development Agency is scheduled to give an activities update.

Both committees will consider approving their Oct. 7 minutes.
