Yankees hitter Ben Rice was selected as the designated hitter on MLB.com’s 2026 All-Postseason Team after hitting four home runs during New York’s playoff run.
Rice hit .421 with a 1.105 slugging percentage and a 1.605 OPS, the highest marks among postseason hitters with at least 20 plate appearances, MLB.com’s Jared Greenspan reported.
He also became the first Yankee to have two multihomer games in the same postseason.
The selection is part of MLB.com’s editorial postseason roundup. Rice was the only Yankee named to the lineup, pitching staff or honorable mentions in that article.
The list was published after Milwaukee finished its World Series victory over Tampa Bay. Brewers catcher William Contreras, the World Series MVP, was among several Milwaukee players selected.
New York’s season ended when the Rays swept the Yankees in the American League Division Series. Rice’s postseason production came with Aaron Judge absent from the lineup.
