Deputies said they saw a southbound vehicle fail to stop at the intersection of State Route 38 and Turnpike Road around 12:50 a.m. Oct. 30.

The vehicle continued south on Route 38 above the posted speed limit before deputies stopped it near the Auburn city line, the sheriff's office said.

Chagoya-Fuerte was the driver and sole occupant, deputies said.

He was taken to the Public Safety Building, where a breath test showed a blood alcohol content of 0.12%, according to the sheriff's office.

The DWI counts are misdemeanors.

He was issued traffic tickets directing him to appear in Throop Town Court at 6 p.m. Nov. 10.
