Second arrest made in Geneva bus station graffiti investigation

A Rhode Island man was arrested Monday in connection with graffiti spray-painted at Geneva’s RTS bus station, marking the second arrest in the case, according to Geneva police.

Andrew Cannon, 19, of Saunderstown, Rhode Island, was charged with one count of making graffiti, a class A misdemeanor.

Members of the department’s Detectives Bureau located and arrested Cannon without incident at about 11 a.m., police said in an Oct. 27 release.

Police said two people spray-painted “Deport Invaders, PatriotFront.US” on the station’s exterior wall in the Exchange Place parking lot on Sept. 26.

Detectives identified Cannon as the second person of interest during the investigation.

Police announced an earlier arrest in the case on Oct. 12.

Cannon was issued an appearance ticket to return to Geneva City Criminal Court at a later date.
