Geneva man faces felony DWI charge after Waterloo traffic stop

A Geneva man faces a felony driving while intoxicated charge after a traffic stop Saturday in the town of Waterloo, according to the Seneca County Sheriff's Office.

Deputies arrested George Gibson, 42, at about 2:01 a.m. after a DWI investigation on Townline Road, the sheriff's office said.

Deputies said Gibson was swerving and crossing the center line before the stop.

He was charged with DWI with two prior convictions within the past 10 years, a Class D felony; first-degree aggravated unlicensed operation, a Class E felony; and obstructing governmental administration, a Class A misdemeanor.

The sheriff's office said Gibson refused a chemical test at the Seneca County Law Enforcement Center.

He was taken to the Seneca County Correctional Facility to await centralized arraignment court.
