A longtime Mount Morris restaurant owner was detained by federal immigration officers Oct. 20, leaving his family struggling to maintain their business, according to Spectrum News.
Dian Zhao Lin, whose family has operated Mun Yuen Chinese Takeout Restaurant since 2005, was taken into custody by Immigration and Customs Enforcement.
ICE identified the detainee as Sin Di Ling and said he was subject to a removal order issued in 1999.
His six children are helping operate the restaurant, while village Mayor Kelly Bacon and other community members have expressed support for the family.
