Rochester Regional Health Foundation earns four-star Charity Navigator rating

Rochester Regional Health Foundation has earned Charity Navigator’s highest rating for 2026, receiving four stars for the nonprofit’s financial health and accountability, according to a news release.

The foundation’s Charity Navigator profile lists a score of 90% and one of four evaluation areas completed: accountability and finance. The foundation said the recognition also makes it a “Give with Confidence” charity.

Four stars reflect a score of at least 90 out of 100. Charity Navigator gives donors independent information about nonprofits, with evaluations that can cover finances, governance, transparency, community engagement and how organizations measure their impact.

“This recognition reinforces the importance of the trust our donors place in us,” said Kelly Gagan, president of Rochester Regional Health Foundation. “Every gift represents a meaningful investment in the health and well-being of our community.”

Gagan said the foundation is committed to managing donations responsibly and connecting donors’ generosity with the needs of patients, families and communities.

The foundation supports medical equipment, facility improvements, clinical programs, nursing education and patient support initiatives across Rochester Regional Health.

The health system serves Western New York, the Finger Lakes and St. Lawrence County. Its network includes nine hospitals, primary and specialty practices, rehabilitation centers, ambulatory campuses, urgent care, senior services, behavioral health services and laboratories.

Donors can use the rating alongside financial statements and other information about the foundation’s operations when considering their giving.
