New York parents and caregivers whose children receive Early Intervention services, or recently left the program, are invited to a virtual focus group Nov. 16. Each session runs from 7 to 8:30 p.m., with additional sessions scheduled for May 19 and Sept. 16, 2027.
The Early Intervention parent focus group is organized by Just Kids Early Childhood Learning Center through a contract with the New York State Early Intervention Program, and its Family Initiative Coordination Services Project is sponsored by the state Department of Health's Bureau of Early Intervention.
The discussions seek feedback about services and materials, program strengths and challenges, and families' experiences, ideas and needs.
No special experience is required. A facilitator will lead the discussions, and interpretation services are available upon request.
Organizers will share topics ahead of each session, and parents can suggest topics important to them.
Organizers describe the sessions as confidential and say information shared with the state Department of Health's Bureau of Early Intervention will be kept anonymous.
Space is limited. To register, email Angela Furci at angelamfurci@justkidseclc.org or call 631-205-0502.
