The Fleming Fire District will elect one commissioner on December 8 for a five-year term beginning January 1, 2027, according to a district election notice. Voting will run from 6 to 9 p.m. at the fire station at 6063 West Lake Road in Auburn.
District residents who want to run for the seat must file their names with the district secretary by Nov. 18.
Candidates must email Mack77@gmail.com and state that they want to run for commissioner, the notice says.
To vote, residents must have lived in the Fleming Fire District for at least 23 days before the election and must have registered with the Cayuga County Board of Elections by Nov. 16.
The notice says voters will be required to show photo identification to cast a ballot.
