Residents will have an opportunity next month to weigh in on the Fleming Fire District’s proposed annual budget.
The district’s Board of Commissioners will hold a public hearing at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 20, at Fleming Fire Department Company No. 2, 5024 Route 34 in Auburn.
The hearing will give residents an opportunity to comment on the proposed spending plan before the district completes its budget process.
The district held a budget workshop Sept. 15 at Fleming Fire Department Company No. 1 on West Lake Road as commissioners worked on the proposal.
The notice does not list the proposed budget’s total spending, tax levy or any year-over-year changes.
A copy of the proposed budget will be available for public inspection during regular office hours at the Fleming Town Clerk’s Office.
