The Ontario County Sheriff’s Office reported 131 arrests and more than 3,100 law enforcement events during September, according to the agency’s monthly activity report.
Deputies conducted 739 traffic stops during the month, including 10 arrests for driving while intoxicated. The Sheriff’s Office also responded to 39 mental health calls and nine overdose incidents, with Narcan administered eight times.
The agency recorded 3,174 total law enforcement events during September. Deputies also handled 142 calls at Eastview Mall, conducted 22 K-9 events and processed 14 pistol permits.
The Sheriff’s Office Communications Bureau handled 15,788 police calls, 1,711 EMS calls and 494 fire calls during the month.
Crash data showed 278 incidents across several categories in September. The Sheriff’s Office reported 145 property-damage crashes and 52 crashes involving personal injuries, along with 81 incidents involving vehicles striking deer.
No fatal crashes were reported during the month.
The Ontario County Jail had a median population of 101 during September and recorded 137 admissions — 95 men and 42 women.
The Jail Bureau also reported 67 arraignments, 747 medical encounters and 25 releases on recognizance during the month.
