Yates County Public Health and its community partners are asking county residents and people who work in Yates County to complete a survey about local housing needs by Oct. 13.
The survey is open to everyone, whether they rent, own a home, are looking for housing or are satisfied with where they live.
The effort follows community interviews, focus groups and public forums held in 2025. That feedback helped identify housing affordability and stability as priorities in the county’s Community Health Improvement Plan.
Officials say the responses will help them better understand people’s housing experiences and identify needs across the county.
The housing survey is available online. Anyone who needs help completing it can call Yates County Public Health at 315-536-5160 or visit its office to request a paper copy.
