Schuyler County blotter lists 14 arrests, including two involving same man

The Schuyler County Sheriff’s Office reported 14 arrests involving 13 people between Aug. 16 and Aug. 30, with charges ranging from driving while intoxicated and criminal contempt to probation violations and promoting prison contraband.

The report lists two separate Aug. 24 arrests involving Dylan R. Watson, 25, of Montour Falls. Watson was jailed after a traffic stop and later charged in a separate incident at the Schuyler County Jail, according to the sheriff’s office.

In one case, deputies said Watson was stopped on state Route 224 in the village of Montour Falls and charged with second-degree aggravated unlicensed operation. He was also arrested on an outstanding warrant for failing to appear in Catharine Town Court.

Watson was arraigned in Schuyler County Centralized Arraignment Court and remanded to the county jail.

The sheriff’s office also charged Watson with second-degree promoting prison contraband following an incident at the jail on 10th Street in Watkins Glen. The report didn’t identify the alleged contraband or provide other details about the incident.

Watson was arraigned again and remanded to the jail.

DWI and drug-related charges

Nicholas D. Swaney, 30, of Ithaca, was charged following a property-damage crash on Newtown Road in the town of Hector on Aug. 30. Deputies charged him with driving while intoxicated, driving with a blood alcohol content above 0.08 and seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance.

Swaney was issued traffic tickets and an appearance ticket for Hector Town Court.

Brandy Lyn Corbitt, 40, of Dundee, was charged with driving while intoxicated, driving with a blood alcohol content above 0.08 and second-degree criminal possession of drug paraphernalia. Deputies said the charges followed an Aug. 26 complaint on County Road 6 in the town of Hector.

Corbitt was issued traffic tickets for Hector Town Court.

Popaul Mukuralinda, 43, of Rochester, was charged with driving while intoxicated after an Aug. 26 traffic stop on state Route 13 in the town of Cayuta. Mukuralinda was arraigned in centralized arraignment court and released to appear in Cayuta Town Court.

Brandon M. Colangelo, 29, of Phelps, was charged with driving while intoxicated and driving with a blood alcohol content above 0.08 after an Aug. 28 traffic stop on state Route 14 in Watkins Glen. He was issued traffic tickets for Watkins Glen Village Court.

License and vehicle charges

Christine N.L. Hunsinger, 25, of Alpine, was charged with third-degree unauthorized use of a motor vehicle and third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation after an Aug. 22 traffic stop on state Route 228 in the town of Catharine. She was issued an appearance ticket for Catharine Town Court.

Stacy K. Eddy, 52, of Auburn, was charged with third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation after an Aug. 23 traffic stop on state Route 13 in the town of Cayuta. Eddy was issued traffic tickets for Cayuta Town Court.

Trenton M. Durfey, 25, of Cayuta, was charged with third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation after an Aug. 27 traffic stop on state Route 224. He was issued traffic tickets for Cayuta Town Court.

Contempt, warrant and probation cases

William J. Harris, 36, of Dundee, was charged with second-degree harassment following an Aug. 16 complaint on Sydney Road in Odessa. Harris was issued an appearance ticket for Odessa Village Court.

Kori J. Fish, 51, of Odessa, was charged with second-degree criminal contempt following a separate Aug. 16 complaint on Sydney Place in Odessa. Fish was arraigned in centralized arraignment court and released to appear in Odessa Village Court.

Daniel E. Decker, 61, of Rock Stream, was charged with second-degree criminal contempt following an Aug. 18 complaint on Spencer Road in the town of Reading. Decker was arraigned in centralized arraignment court and remanded to the Schuyler County Jail.

Shelby L. Narde, 34, of Watkins Glen, was arrested on an outstanding Schuyler County Court warrant alleging a probation violation. Narde was remanded to the county jail.

Brandon M. Mathews, 29, of Montour Falls, was arrested Aug. 28 on an outstanding warrant from Schuyler County Family Court. Mathews was arraigned and released.
