Seneca Falls police charged two Waterloo residents with animal cruelty offenses following an investigation into the abandonment of a cat.
Police said Kathy Ragan and David J. Ragan, both 72, were arrested at 4:18 p.m. Aug. 31.
Each was charged with one misdemeanor count of abandonment of animals and one misdemeanor count of torturing, injuring or failing to feed animals, according to police.
The two were processed at the Seneca Falls Police Department and released with appearance tickets for Seneca Falls Town Court at a later date.
Waterloo police assisted Seneca Falls police in locating the pair.
