The Wayne County Sheriff's Office will offer a New York State snowmobile safety course for youth operators on Saturday, Nov. 7, in Ontario.
The course is required for anyone ages 10 to 17 who wants to operate a snowmobile on public trails, according to the Sheriff's Office Recreational Safety Division.
The class will run from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Ontario Recreation in Casey Park.
Participants must be at least 10 years old on the day of the class. They should bring a pen and lunch.
A parent or guardian must provide a signature for the participant.
Reservations can be made through the New York snowmobile safety course listings on Register-Ed.
