A Rochester woman was charged with driving while intoxicated after deputies said she drove under the influence of cannabis at a checkpoint in Newark.
The Wayne County Sheriff’s Office said deputies arrested Kortnee L. Young, 28, of Gateway Road, around 9:50 p.m. Friday, Aug. 28, near North Main and East Union streets.
Young was charged with driving while intoxicated and operating a motor vehicle while impaired by drugs, according to the sheriff’s office.
She was taken to the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office and issued traffic tickets directing her to appear in Newark Village Court at 10 a.m. Sept. 23.
