Republican gubernatorial candidate Bruce Blakeman launched a digital advertising campaign Wednesday targeting Gov. Kathy Hochul over remarks that his campaign characterized as relying on racial stereotypes.
Blakeman, the Nassau County executive, criticized Hochul in a statement announcing the campaign and said the ads would focus on her comments about Black children and computer skills.
The campaign said its video and related digital material would begin appearing immediately across major social media platforms.
The release did not disclose how much the campaign planned to spend on the advertising effort or how long it would run.
