The swimming beach at Kershaw Park in Canandaigua will close for the season beginning Saturday, Aug. 22, according to the Daily Messenger.
The city lists Friday, Aug. 21, as the final day of the 2026 swimming season at the guarded beach on Canandaigua Lake.
Kershaw Park itself will remain open after the swimming area closes, with other park amenities continuing to be available.
The beach offered free admission to residents and visitors during the 2026 season.
Swimming at Kershaw Park is allowed only in designated areas when a lifeguard is on duty.
