A Farmington man faces multiple charges after Ontario County sheriff's deputies said he ran a stop sign, struck another vehicle and left the scene of a crash that caused minor injuries in the Town of Canandaigua.
Deputies arrested Terrance Davis, 54, on Thursday following an investigation into the crash at Emerson Road and County Road 28. He was charged with driving while intoxicated, refusing a chemical test, second- and third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation, leaving the scene of a property damage crash and failing to yield at a stop sign.
The Ontario County Sheriff's Office said Davis was driving west on Emerson Road when he failed to stop at a posted stop sign and struck a vehicle traveling north on County Road 28.
Deputies determined that Davis was driving with a suspended license connected to a pending case in Canandaigua Town Court, according to the release. Investigators also alleged that he left the scene and later refused to submit to a chemical test.
Passengers in the other vehicle were evaluated at the scene by emergency medical personnel for minor injuries and did not receive further treatment, the Sheriff's Office said.
Davis was taken to Ontario County centralized arraignment court, where his license was revoked. He was released on his own recognizance and is scheduled to appear in Canandaigua Town Court at a later date.
